Happy 4th of July and Refreshing Drink for All!

It looks like I’ve lucked out here and it’s not going to rain today!  And as I’m typing this up now, the sun keeps streaming through the clouds into my window so I think it’s going to be a pretty good day.

This is actually a recipe that I was going to put up on Tuesday for “Smoothie Tuesdays” but was a little bit delayed.  But fear not!  This recipe doesn’t take much time or effort and if you are looking for something easy and refreshing to take to any BBQ’s or picnics, this here’s the one!  So when everyone else brings beer and alcohol, you can be the savior that brings a non-alcoholic drink that is healthy, rehydrating and will work to counteract those hangovers and dehydration!   Enjoy!

Refreshing Flavored Water

1 lemon, scrubbed and sliced into disks

2 Persian Cucumbers, chopped (or one regular sized cucumber)

1/3 Cup Mint

1.5 TBSP Agave

6 Cups of Water

Toss the lemons, cucumbers, mint and agave into a large pitcher and muddle a bit before adding the water.  Stir a little and refrigerate until ready to use! (This drink does taste best after it has “marinated” for a few hours to let the flavors blend).

Now have lots of fun eating and drinking today!
